The composite support insulators are used to provide support to the outdoor cable termination rated upto 36 KV. The insulator consisites of a fibreglass core covered with weather resistant polymeric sheded sleeve and aluminium caps at both ends. These insulators are light in weight as compared to porcelein insulators. The composite insulaotr design offers significant advantages like better performance in highly polluted enviornment, flame/arc resistance, resistance to chemicals and U/V radiation and are Vandal-Proof.
